Events
Although we are a small village, we do try to organise village events on an annual basis to give back to the community and bring everyone together when possible.
Litter Picks
We hold regular litter picks in the village, which are usually on a Sunday morning at 10h00. These are usually advertised in the Littleton Link, as well as on the two Facebook pages and the Next Door app.
The Litter Pick mornings are a great way to give back to the community, and to get outdoors, meet other local residents and make the most of the beautiful views we have to offer.
Litter Picks generally last an hour and we welcome families of all ages. We also provide the necessary equipment so we only ask that you wear comfortable shoes.
Volunteer in Nature
We hold various volunteer days throughout the year where we ask residents to give a few hours of their time to come help with certain projects going on in our green areas.
Previous events which have been very well attended and high successful were the Hay Raking Event in September 2023, the Orchard planting event in January 2024 and the bulb planting in Spring 2023.
We would like to do more of these in the coming months so please keep an eye out here on the website, our Facebook pages and the Next Door app for further information.

Annual Village Soiree
We recently held our very first Village BBQ which was a brilliant event where the Parish Council organised a live band, the Lockdown Layabouts, and sponsored a BBQ for all residents, provided by Food Genie, a local company run by parishioners.
It was a brilliant afternoon with involvement from the Littletons Tennis Club, the Littletons Bowling Club and the Wychavon Rural Transport Team.
This event followed on from the previous two years where the SLPC organised and ran a Summer Fete. Keep an eye out on our website and social media for what’s planned in 2025!
Christmas
Every year the SLPC arrange for a Christmas Family event offering, food, mulled wine and treats for the kids. It’s always a lovely evening where residents can get together in the crisp December afternoon and celebrate the start of the festive season surrounded by Christmas music, lights and cheer.
We alternate the event between the Scout Hut on Long Hyde Road and the green space on Withy Trees Road in South Meadows.
We will announce the details of the next event on our website, as well as on our Social Media pages.
Events are an important part of village life and we hope to continue with these in the coming months and years.
We are however always looking for suggestions and volunteers so please do get in touch if you would like to be involved. Email clerk@southlittleton.org.
